There have been numerous claims and rumors of UFO sightings and cover-ups by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) over the years. While the MoD has officially investigated and released reports on many of these incidents, they have consistently denied any cover-up or deliberate withholding of information.
According to the MOD’s website on reference to UFOs, they’ve stopped recording UFO sighting in the UK since 2009. See below a excerpt from the MOD website. You can view it here live https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/ufo-reports-in-the-uk
One of the most famous cases in the UK is the Rendlesham Forest incident, which occurred in December 1980 at the joint US-UK air base of RAF Woodbridge in Suffolk. Military personnel reported seeing strange lights in the forest, and some claimed to have encountered a UFO. The MoD investigated the incident but concluded that there was no evidence of a security threat and no conclusive evidence of extraterrestrial activity.
Another case was the 1990 Calvine UFO incident in Scotland, where two hikers reported seeing a UFO land near the A9 road. The MoD investigated the incident but found no evidence of a security threat or any explanation for the reported sighting.
In 2009, the MoD released its final batch of UFO files, which included over 6,000 pages of documents dating back to the 1950s. While some of the reports contained sightings that were unexplained, the MoD maintained that they did not indicate the presence of extraterrestrial life or pose a threat to national security.
Despite the MoD’s official stance, some UFO enthusiasts and conspiracy theorists continue to allege that the UK government has covered up evidence of extraterrestrial life and UFO sightings.
The UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) stopped reporting UFO sightings and investigating UFO incidents in 2009, after decades of collecting reports and conducting investigations. The reason for this decision was primarily due to a lack of evidence indicating that any of the reported sightings posed a threat to national security.
The MoD’s official stance is that there is no evidence to suggest that any of the reported sightings were the result of extraterrestrial activity, and that the vast majority of sightings could be explained by natural phenomena or human-made objects. The MoD also noted that investigating UFO sightings was diverting resources and manpower away from more pressing defence matters.
Furthermore, the MoD acknowledged that many of the reports it received were of poor quality and lacked sufficient detail to allow for proper investigation. As a result, the MoD concluded that there was no value in continuing to collect and investigate UFO reports. In all fairness to the MOD, it’s still crazy why no one up to now in 2023 has no real actual good photo or video footage of UFOs. It’s a little weird why we don’t have any proof just yet.
It is important to note that while the MoD no longer investigates UFO sightings, it does still monitor the skies for potential security threats, including unidentified aircraft. If any sightings are deemed to pose a potential threat to national security, the appropriate authorities are notified and investigations are conducted as necessary.
We contacted the MoD back in March 2022 and then 3 times more during last year in regards to any further details on why they have stopped UFO sightings. We still waiting to receive a reply.
